WHAT IS A DENTAL IMPLANT?
A dental implant is an artificial tooth root that is placed into a jaw to hold a replacement tooth or bridge. A dental implant is an option for people who have lost a tooth or teeth due to periodontal disease, an injury, or some other reason.

IMPLANT OVER DENTURE
An implant over denture fits over your own remaining natural teeth roots or dental implants that have been installed by your dental clinician. The retained root or implant provides you with excellent stability and support for your denture implants.
Unlike traditional dentures, root-supported or implant-supported overdentures or implant dentures are held in place by dental attachments which provide the retentive strength that you desire. Teeth in a day is a method of dental implant treatment that allows a patient to get a full fixed set of upper teeth on dental implants in around six hours.
This can work even when there is little bone available because it utilises angled implant components, so that implants can be placed where there is bone available. Practice Principal (GDC No.171202)
Temur(known as TK), acquired the practice in partnership with his wife in 2019. Prior to this he was working as an implant dentist for a group of practices in Yorkshire.
He graduated in 2004 and after 4 years in general practice, he developed a keen interest in oral surgery. For the next 4 years he worked in various hospitals in Oral & Maxillo-Facial Surgery to further advance his surgical skills.
This experience in oral surgery has been fundamental in pursuing his passion for dental implants. TK gained his advanced certification in Dental Implants in 2013. He went on to complete post graduate Certification at kings College London in Fixed and Removable Prosthodontics in 2016 and is also trained in intravenous sedation.
TK has placed over a thousand implants in his career and aims to provide the most innovative treatment modalities. He keeps up to date with all latest techniques and is a member of International Team of Implantology (ITI).
TK spends his free time with his wife and two little girls or playing golf with his friends.

FAQs
- There are very few reasons why you are not clinically eligible for having dental implants. The only real condition which will not allow an implant to be placed is if you are taking or have had a particular medication, Bisphosphonates, (an anti-osteoporosis drug), if you have never heard of it, then you probably have not had it.
- As soon as your jaw has stopped developing (around seventeen years old), then you are a candidate for implants.
- Lacking bone in an area is not usually a problem in placing implants, as there are many techniques to solve this limitation.
- As with any dental structure, good dental hygiene must be maintained at all times.
- Smoking does reduce the life expectancy of any dental structure and implants are no different.
