Dr. Temur khan : Practice Principal (GDC No.171202)

Temur(known as TK), acquired the practice in partnership with his wife in 2019. Prior to this he was working as an implant dentist for a group of practices in Yorkshire.

He graduated in 2004 and after 4 years in general practice, he developed a keen interest in oral surgery. For the next 4 years he worked in various hospitals in Oral & Maxillo-Facial Surgery to further advance his surgical skills.

This experience in oral surgery has been fundamental in pursuing his passion for dental implants. TK gained his advanced certification in Dental Implants in 2013. He went on to complete post graduate Certification at kings College London in Fixed and Removable Prosthodontics in 2016 and Is also trained in intravenous sedation.

TK has placed over a thousand implants in his career and aims to provide the most innovative treatment modalities. He keeps up to date with all latest techniques and is a member of International Team of Implantology (ITI).

TK spends his free time with his wife and two little girls or playing golf with his friends.

Dr. Sanna Khan : Practice Principal (GDC No.153615)

Sanna is the owner of 57 Dental & Implant Centre in partnership with her husband and acquired the practice after gaining over 10 years’ experience in General Dentistry.

 She graduated from the University of Leeds in 2008 with distinctions in Microbiology and Biochemistry. 

After completing her Vocational training, she worked as a Senior House Officer in Oral and Maxillo-Facial Surgery at Whippscross University Hospital, London to further improve her surgical skills. She went on to complete post graduate studies and gained Membership of the Joint Dental Faculties (MJDF) of the Royal College of surgeons in 2014. 

She developed an interest in Orthodontics and has been trained to use the Quick Straight Teeth (QST) system to improve smiles with the use of ceramic braces.

She is particularly good at helping nervous patients manage their dental anxiety with her calm and gentle manner

She spends her free time with her two girls and enjoys travelling with her family.

Dr. Bilal Hussain: (GDC No. 258731)

Bilal graduated from the University of Leeds in 2015. He completed his one-year Vocational training in Nottingham and joined the practice in 2016.

Bilal has had an interest in improving patient smiles and further advanced his skills by completing the Headrow Academy Restorative Course in Leeds in 2017. He has also been trained in using the Quick Straight Teeth (QST) system to straighten teeth using clear, ceramic braces.

Bilal is passionate about dentistry and continues to update his skills by various postgraduate courses.

He enjoys playing Football in his spare time.

Dr. Premneaq Singh Hunjan: (GDC No. 193824)

Prem began his dental journey in 2010 when he graduated from King’s College. He spent his two years as a Senior House Officer in Maxillofacial Surgery at York District Hospital. Whilst in this post, he participated in writing various articles which were published in the British Journal of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery.  

Since 2015, he has been involved in providing smile makeover with the aid of Invisalign. He strives to provide comprehensive care whilst helping his patient achieve the smile they have always wanted. Prem maintains a strong philosophy of providing minimally invasive dentistry allowing patients to gain 

Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife, as well as playing squash with friends.

Catherine Ackroyd: Dental Hygienist (GDC No. 261778)

Cat graduated from the University of Leeds in 2013 with BSC (hons)in Medical Microbiology and in 2015 with a Graduate Diploma in Dental Hygiene and Dental Therapy.

Post qualification Cat spent time in Italy gaining invaluable experience treating patients with complex gum disease and dental implants. She has been trained using minimally invasive treatment techniques with a surgical microscope and dental lasers alongside thorough dental cleanings. This has enabled Cat to be very gentle and precise ensuring patients are comfortable throughout their treatment journey

Cat likes to take time to get to know each patient and their oral health needs enabling them to feel at ease in surgery, particularly patients with dental anxiety.

She spends her free time at the family holiday home reading and cooking.

Julie Byrom: Dental Hygienist (GDC No. 3610)

Julie  has over 30 years experience as a Dental Hygienist and graduated from Birmingham Dental hospital in 1988. Prior to becoming a Dental Hygienist she qualified as a Dental Nurse in 1986.

 As a hygienist she has gained valuable experience in the Community Dental Service in Huddersfield with vulnerable children and adults. Julie also gained additional knowledge in treating Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery patients at the Northern General Hospital, Sheffield.

She has worked in NHS and private practices in West Yorkshire and greatly helped improve the oral health of her patients.

Alongside working as a Dental hygienist, Julie tutored Dental Nurses for 10 years in order that they obtain the NEBDN (National Examining Board for Dental Nurses) examination. She has recently been appointed as an Examiner with the NEBDN.

She is also a Fitness to Practice Panel Member with the General Dental Council where she has been for over 5 years.

Julie enjoys spends her spare time with her 4 children and her  hobbies include swimming.


David Coates: Clinical Dental Tecnician (GDC No. 120197)

After completing a 5-year Dental Technology apprenticeship David graduated with merits in all aspects of Dental Technology and in particular, with Distinctions in denture design, materials and construction. On graduation David received the annual ‘Aesthetics in Dentures’ award for the best complete and partial dentures for his year. Following a period developing a successful National Health Service and Private dental laboratory, David then studied the clinical aspects of denture construction in Canada under the guidance of Professor Mike Vakalis, a world renowned authority on denture prosthetics, culminating in a graduation ceremony held at the Houses of Parliament in London.

David has treated many thousands of patients and has fitted over 11,000 private dentures in the last 27 years. He attributes his success to his attention to detail and a complete knowledge of dentures and the problems associated with wearing dentures combined with his ability to empathise with his patients and delivering great customer service. David prides himself on providing a personalised, high quality denture service that offers his patients custom denture solutions that optimise fit, function and are as naturally cosmetic as possible. 

As a master Clinical Dental Technician, David can provide advice and information on all areas of the design and technical aspects of prosthetic dentistry 

David is qualified with the Royal College of Surgeons of England and Wales and registered with the General Dental Council, both as a Clinical Dental Technician and a Dental Technician. David regularly mentors other Clinical Dental Technicians and Dentists in the clinical aspects of denture provision. 

Alison Waters: Manager

Alison qualified as a dental nurse in 1977 and has worked in general practice for over 30 years. She supported dentists in surgery and was responsible in training new dental nurses. 

After taking on extra administrative duties, she became the practice manager in 2008 and since then has been everyone’s first point of call. 

Most of our patients are very comfortable discussing their dental queries with Alison due to her reassuring and calm manner.

She is always working hard making improvements within the practice to ensure patient and staff well-being.

She spends her free time socializing with friends, reading and gardening.


Emily Egan-Calvert– Qualified Dental Nurse/ Treatment Co-Ordinator (GDC 272862)

Emily qualified in 2017 after an 18 months apprenticeship with City Training Services.

After gaining experience in general dental nursing, she advanced her skills with further courses in dental impression-taking and topical Fluoride application.

Apart from assisting dentists in surgery, she is also the practice treatment co-ordinator and is responsible for liaising with different clinicians within the team to ensure our patients’ treatment journey runs as smoothly as possible. She has administrative duties including organising patient referrals, arranging appointments and ensuring the practice is CQC compliant.

Emily enjoys meeting with friends in her free time and dining out on weekends.

Laura Mitchell – Implant /Denplan nurse (GDC 252721)

Laura graduated from Leeds Dental Institute with a National Diploma in Dental Nursing in 2013. After gaining some experience in general practice Laura trained as an implant nurse in 2014 and has had several years’ experience working as a treatment co-ordinator and assisting with implant surgery.

Laura completed a leadership and management course in 2014 to complement her role as an implant co-ordinator.

She joined 57 Dental & Implant Centre in 2019 and now works closely with the Practice Principal taking care of Denplan patients and assisting with Implant surgery.

Laura is a mum of two little girls who usually take up most of her free time. Apart from that she also enjoys socialising with friends and retail therapy.

Fatima Mamaniyat- Dental nurse (awaiting GDC registration)

Fatima qualified as a dental nurse in 2020 by training here at 57 Dental & Implant Centre.

Fatima has a passion for promoting oral health and diet. As a newly qualified nurse she would like to progress her skills in oral health education. In her spare time, she likes going on walks and exploring new places.

Kelly Y Skeet – Receptionist

Kelly trained as a dental nurse in 2003 at a family run practice and gained experience assisting dentists for a few years. In 2010 she wanted to progress her skills further and gained a book-keeping and accountancy qualification.

She joined 57 Dental & Implant Centre in 2014 and gained her national diploma in Dental Nursing from Leeds Dental Institute in 2016. In 2019 Kelly decided to go full time on reception, a role which she thoroughly enjoys.

Kelly is a mum of three children which keep her occupied most of the time. She enjoys meeting friends/family and eating out in her spare time.
